In our last class a couple students mentioned they'd like some resources for more advance web design then we will be covering in our class.
Here’s a quick run down of some good resources for web stuff. As we progress if there is something in particular you are looking for and can't find just let me know and I'll see what I can find for you.
These are good resources for everything from design do’s and don’ts, CSS, HTML, usability, etc.
This is W3C’s (World Wide Web Consortium) website. They are the “controlling” international organization that determines web standards. Good resource for what HTML, CSS tags and elements do and it offers step by step instructions on how to implement them.
Miscellaneous other resources
If these don’t cover what you’re looking for Google searches are
pretty good. But be mindful that not every site that comes up
is going to be that helpful. Sometimes forum threads will come up in
Google searches and they can sometimes yield helpful
info…but sometimes the questions are posed with no real answer being
provided.
